Tailored support for your needs.
Sequoia Springs Trauma Healing Center, Inc. (Sequoia Springs) is a not-for-profit organization focused on providing accessible and integrative treatment, education, and outreach related to trauma. Our therapists offer compassionate therapy, working from a trauma-informed lens and attachment-based perspective.
They are equipped to work with many different treatment modalities to meet the needs of children, teens, adults, elders, couples, families, first responders, and the military.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based therapy that helps people process and heal from traumatic memories. EMDR is designed to access the brain’s natural healing process, helping people to get “stuck” memories or emotions “unstuck”. Our therapists work to provide a safe and supportive EMDR experience, helping you heal from the emotional impacts of trauma and find lasting relief.
Safe and Sound (SSP) is an evidence-based therapeutic listening intervention that can help to reduce sound sensitivities, improve auditory processing, and help people feel more grounded, connected and resilient. SSP can help support trauma recovery by helping shift the nervous system from a state of chronic stress to a calmer more regulated state.
Polyvagal therapy is a trauma-informed approach that helps people regulate their emotions by working with the body’s nervous system. Through this therapy approach, the therapist and client will explore how your nervous system responds to safety and stress. Polyvagal therapy will help individuals become more emotionally and physiologically regulated, increasing their ability to feel safe, calm and socially engaged.
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of psychotherapy based on the idea that the mind is made up of multiple parts. Each of these parts has its own emotions, beliefs, and roles, and they are developed as a way to protect us from pain or distress, especially after traumatic experiences. This technique aims to heal our “wounded” parts, providing a compassionate framework to help individuals with fragmented and conflicting emotions and behaviors. Through IFS, trauma survivors can develop a sense of self-compassion, personal balance, and emotional regulation.
CPP is an evidence-based therapy that is designed to help children who have experienced trauma. CPP works with both the child and their caregivers to help them heal from the impacts of trauma. The therapy helps to improve the bond, connection, trust and safety of the child and caregiver.
Addiction treatment offers individuals who have experienced trauma a path to healing and recovery. By addressing both the emotional wounds of an individual and the destructive coping patterns of substance abuse, our goal is to create a supportive and safe environment for an individual to do their work. We work with individuals to process their trauma, develop healthier coping strategies and build emotional resilience.
